RALEIGH

NORTH CAROLINA

Thirty years ago, Jim Valvano made a memorable speech at the 1993 ESPYS, where he announced the creation of the V Foundation for Cancer Research. Since that day, Jim’s legacy has grown from the sports world to cancer centers nationwide. His foundation is funding all-star scientists and accelerating critical cancer research. Please join us in Raleigh, N.C., to celebrate this milestone anniversary as one team and continue the fight to achieve Victory Over Cancer®! As Jim said, “Don’t Give Up, Don’t Ever Give Up!” Together we will continue his legacy!

About The Evening

Presented by Constellation Brands, the evening, co-hosted by ESPN’s Jay Harris and 1985 Wolfpack graduate and NC State Athletics Director of Content Strategy, Jeff Gravley, will consist of a cocktail reception and a delectable wine-pairing dinner. Special speakers from the V Foundation’s history will share their stories. Along with appearances from members of the 1983 team, there will be a performance by NC State 1983 team member, Thurl Bailey. In addition, there will be opportunities to support the V Foundation mission through one-of-a-kind live auction lots and Fund-A-Need, which will be dedicated to therapeutic resistance research.

Dress code for the event is cocktail attire.
